Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain that the museum role relates to your accounting studies, mention communication, teamwork and storytelling, and state that you are available from 1 July. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the closing is appropriate. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you say the position is “for accountant,” but do not explain why you are interested in working in a museum specifically or how your accounting studies connect to its needs. Your skills are listed rather than illustrated, and the availability details could clarify which days or hours you can work. Adding these specifics would make the application more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: application and motivation, relevant skills, availability, then a polite closing. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and linking expressions such as “In addition” and “Therefore” make the relationships between ideas clear. This is a sound, coherent structure. To make the progression more polished, connect the skills more directly to the museum role rather than presenting them as a list, and make the transition from your exam schedule to your availability more explicit. The phrase “I attached my resume in the below” also interrupts the otherwise clear closing; place this information naturally alongside your offer to provide further details.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant application vocabulary, including “part-time,” “unpaid work,” “communication,” “team work” and “available.” The reader can understand your main points, but the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, such as “advertisment,” “postion,” “feild” and “effeciency.” Some phrases are also unnatural for a formal application: “apply as a part-time voluntary work” and “work with full of focus” do not express your meaning idiomatically. Aim to use accurate, conventional phrases for applications and describe your strengths with more precise vocabulary. Careful proofreading would also help ensure that spelling errors do not distract from your qualifications.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple sentences and more complex forms, including the conditional “If I get this job” and the contrast structure “not only … but also.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “this not only give me” needs subject–verb agreement and a suitable verb form, while “My exam will complete” has an incorrect construction; you could write “My exams will be over by the end of June.” The sentence about your availability would also be clearer as “I will be available from 1 July.” Continue practising verb forms, agreement and sentence patterns, while retaining the range of structures you have attempted.
