Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.5

You address all three requirements clearly: you explain your interest in local history and community service, identify relevant interpersonal qualities, and give specific weekday and weekend availability. Your purpose is clear from the opening, and the closing is appropriate for a formal application. The reasons for volunteering are relevant, though the point about helping visitors could be developed with a brief example of what you would do, such as answering questions or guiding them through exhibits. Similarly, your skills are listed effectively but would be more persuasive if supported by a short example of using them. Overall, the task is fully addressed with a clear position; more specific support would make the ideas more fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.5

The letter follows a clear and logical progression: application and motivation, relevant qualities, availability, and a polite closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these functions, while phrases such as “In addition,” “Regarding my skills,” and “In terms of availability” make the sequence easy to follow. The ideas within each paragraph are generally connected, and the formal opening and sign-off suit the purpose. To make the organisation even more seamless, reduce reliance on explicit paragraph-opening signals and connect related points more naturally. For example, the community-service motivation could flow directly from the sentence about helping visitors. Overall, progression is clear throughout, with some room for more flexible cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a formal application, including relevant terms such as “local heritage,” “interpersonal skills,” “independently,” and “responsible.” These choices communicate your motivation and suitability clearly. There are, however, several inaccurate or unnatural expressions that limit precision: “keen interested” is redundant, “museum activity’s” uses an incorrect form, and “in any time” is not idiomatic. “Very good at communication and interpersonal skills” is also an awkward collocation. Aim to learn useful phrases as complete units and check apostrophes and word forms. More precise language for visitor support and museum work would add flexibility while keeping the tone natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and more developed sentence forms, including the relative clause in “the part-time position … which I recently heard was available” and the modal construction “I would be able to work.” Most sentences are understandable, and the errors do not obstruct your message. Some grammatical inaccuracies remain: “I am friendly, patient, and responsible person” needs an article before “responsible person,” and “I am also keen interested” has an incorrect construction. The sentence about being available “in any time” also needs a more suitable preposition. To strengthen control, check articles with singular countable nouns and review the grammatical patterns that follow adjectives such as “keen.”
