Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain that you want experience and to learn teamwork, list relevant abilities, and state that you are available at weekends and on weekday evenings. The application purpose is clear, and your local knowledge gives a relevant reason for your suitability. However, some points are only briefly explained. For example, “computer operator skills” and “mathematics knowledge” are listed without showing how they would help with museum work, while the reference to cleaning “during the rainy season” is not clearly connected to the role. Develop these details and explain more specifically what attracts you to this museum. A more complete, focused explanation would make the application more persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening application, a paragraph about your reasons and skills, a paragraph about availability and suitability, and a closing. This makes the main information reasonably easy to locate. Some links between ideas are less clear, however. “On the other hand” suggests a contrast, although the cleaning skill appears to add another qualification, and “and mainly” does not connect smoothly to the preceding sentence. The first paragraph also moves quickly from the newspaper notice to your location and then to your motivation. Use straightforward links such as “In addition” and “Furthermore,” and group related information more consistently. Clearer transitions and references would improve the flow without changing the basic organisation.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a range of relevant vocabulary for an application, including “voluntary work,” “teamwork,” “communication skills,” “patience,” and “excellent knowledge.” These choices help convey your interest and potential suitability. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “morming,” “dailly news paper,” “mathamatics,” and “responce.” Some phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “apply my name on it” and “gain my experience” do not express your meaning idiomatically, while “good information regarding the museum” is vague. Aim for accurate, conventional application language, such as saying you are applying for a volunteer position and hope to gain experience. Proofreading spelling and collocations would make your message clearer and more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand your main points. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in sentence construction and verb forms. For example, “I am writing this letter regarding apply” needs a noun or gerund after “regarding,” and “this work require” needs subject–verb agreement. The sentence beginning “I am aware that this work…” is followed by a fragment, “and mainly good information regarding the museum,” rather than a complete clause. There are also problems with articles and prepositions, as in “in near by my home.” Practise building complete sentences and checking agreement, articles, and verb patterns; this will help you express your ideas more accurately while retaining some sentence variety.
