Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three points: you explain your interest in learning about history and preservation, list relevant qualities, and state that you are available on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Your purpose is clear, and the letter uses an appropriate opening and closing. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you mention communication and teamwork but do not give an example of how you have used these skills, and “free for a month” leaves the exact dates unclear. The reason for choosing this particular museum could also be more specific. Adding a brief example of relevant experience and clarifying your available dates would make the application more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: it moves from your reason for applying, to your qualities, and then to your availability. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these main points, and expressions such as “Moreover” and “Furthermore” signal additions. At times, however, the links feel mechanical, and ideas within paragraphs are not always clearly connected. The sequence “I am eager to know what happen in the past, about the things” is vague, while the list of qualities shifts abruptly from communication and teamwork to maintenance and patience. Group related skills together and explain how they would help at the museum. A clearer progression within each paragraph, with fewer repeated linking words, would make the letter smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the museum context, including “heritage,” “preserve our past,” “communication,” and “team.” This gives you enough language to convey your main ideas, but the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision. Examples include “heared,” “knowlegde,” “problem-sloving,” and “maintainence.” Phrases such as “get a new experience” and “I have a patience” are also unnatural in this context. Aim to learn useful application-letter collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording for your motivation and skills would help the letter sound more natural and professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You communicate the main message using a mixture of short statements and some longer structures, such as “Because of these abilities, I would like to work here.” However, the range of sentence patterns is limited, and errors occur often enough to affect clarity in places. For example, “I am writing to request you to give me” has an awkward grammatical construction, “it give the knowldege” has a subject–verb agreement error, and “I am capable to do work here” uses an incorrect pattern after “capable.” The phrase “I am free for a month” also needs clearer grammatical detail about when that month is. Practise accurate verb forms, agreement, and patterns such as “capable of doing,” while varying sentence structures.
