Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you explain that your history studies and interest in museum history motivate you, mention friendliness and three languages as useful qualities, and give a specific time when you are available. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the request for an opportunity is appropriate. Some points, however, are less fully developed than others. For example, “I know how to explain history about museum” does not show what you could do for visitors, and your availability is limited to one date and a four-hour period without saying whether this is a regular schedule. Add a practical example of how your knowledge or language skills would help the museum, and clarify your ongoing availability.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: you state your purpose, give your background and qualities, then provide availability and close politely. Paragraphing helps the reader identify these stages. Some connections are less clear or feel mechanical, however. The sentence beginning “moreover, at the movment” combines your university vacation, interest in the museum, and desire to gain experience without clearly showing how the ideas relate. The final sentence beginning “If you give me this chance” is also attached awkwardly to the availability details. Use clearer transitions and separate the request from the schedule, so each paragraph develops one main point and the progression feels smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate your application, including “history student,” “friendly,” “languages,” and “voluntary work.” However, the range is limited, and several inaccurate word choices, collocations, and spelling errors make the letter less natural and occasionally slow the reader. Examples include “give my voluntary work,” “take experiance,” “at the movment,” and “languagus.” Choose conventional application phrases and check spelling carefully. You could also use more precise terms for your contribution, such as helping visitors or sharing historical information, rather than repeating “work” and “chance.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, such as “I would be grateful if you could give me this chance,” and the main message remains understandable. However, control is uneven: some sentence patterns contain errors in articles, verb forms, prepositions, and punctuation. For instance, “I keen to know” needs a verb, while “I have 6 months vacation in my university so, that is way” has unclear clause structure and punctuation. The availability sentence also needs clearer sentence boundaries. Practise building accurate complex sentences with “because,” “so,” and “if,” and check that each clause has a subject and a correctly formed verb.
