I am a student and doing internship at 9am to 12am. After 12pm I am free I have no work so can come at the museum. I really like to do such kind of work it gives me facinating experience in my life.I have always been interested in history, art and culture. I believe that volunteering would give me an opportunity to learn new things, gain valuable experience and contribute to my local community.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you explain your interest in history, art and culture, describe relevant personal qualities and communication skills, and state that you are free after your internship. Your experience serving patients during the pandemic also gives the application a relevant personal detail. This meets the task well, while the explanation of how your experience would help at the museum is less developed; for example, you could connect your communication skills to welcoming visitors or assisting with exhibits. The availability is also somewhat unclear because “9am to 12am” may mean midnight rather than noon. The letter has a clear purpose and appropriate application content, but fuller, more specific support would make it more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter is arranged in a sensible sequence: you introduce your application, explain your availability and motivation, describe your qualities, and close politely. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these points, and transitions such as “Regarding my skills and qualities” make the shift clear. However, the progression is occasionally disrupted: your schedule appears before the fuller explanation of your interest, and “After 12pm I am free I have no work so can come at the museum” joins several ideas without clear punctuation or linking. The closing, “I look forward to hearing you,” also feels incomplete. Use clearer sentence boundaries and a more consistent progression from motivation to suitability and availability.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary for an application, including “volunteer,” “local community,” “communication skills,” and “different ages and backgrounds.” These choices communicate your main points, and phrases such as “gain valuable experience” suit the formal purpose. However, several spelling and word-choice errors reduce precision, including “pendemic,” “facinating,” “resposible,” “intereact,” and “wolud.” Some expressions are also unnatural, such as “keen interested” and “serve patient's medicine.” Aim for accurate spelling and conventional collocations, and choose more specific language about museum work. This would make your vocabulary more controlled and professional while preserving the clear meaning of your application.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more developed sentence forms, including “I believe that volunteering would give me an opportunity to learn new things, gain valuable experience and contribute to my local community.” Most of the message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect fluency. For example, “I am writing to this letter” has an unnecessary preposition, and “I have a good communication skills” has an article and plural mismatch. The sentence “After 12pm I am free I have no work so can come at the museum” needs clearer clause structure and punctuation. There is also a tense inconsistency between “I worked” and the surrounding present-time application. Practise accurate articles, sentence boundaries, and consistent tense choices.
