Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain your interest through your archaeology studies and internship requirement, mention relevant museum and event-organising experience, and give a start date and weekly availability. The letter’s purpose is clear and the details are relevant. However, the motivation is somewhat practical rather than fully explained: clarify why you personally want to contribute to this museum, beyond needing an internship. The skills section also names “organizing and maintaining e records” but does not give a concrete example of how you used these skills or what qualities you would bring. Developing these points with a specific contribution you could make would make the application more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible sequence: application and background, relevant experience, availability, then a polite closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these stages, and phrases such as “Previously” and “Moreover” make some relationships clear. This is a coherent overall arrangement. To make the progression more natural and flexible, connect your studies and experience more explicitly to the museum’s needs rather than presenting them as separate facts. The opening paragraph’s sentence beginning “And it is required” feels detached from the previous sentence, while the list of shifts could be formatted more clearly. A smoother link and more consistent presentation of the schedule would strengthen cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for an application, including “part-time volunteer position,” “internship,” “maintaining,” and “available,” so the reader can understand the main message. There are also attempts at more specific language related to museum work. However, several spelling errors and awkward word combinations reduce precision, including “studnet,” “bechelor's,” “artisend,” and “convinience.” Phrases such as “interest to the position” and “ancient doll museum” are not expressed naturally or clearly. Check spelling carefully and choose conventional collocations for formal applications. More precise terms for the records or collection you handled would also help demonstrate your relevant experience.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main information is generally understandable. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in sentence construction and articles. For example, “I am writing to express my interest to the part-time volunteer position” needs a more suitable preposition, and “I have worked for a ancient doll museum” has an article error. The sentence beginning “And it is required” is an incomplete or awkwardly linked continuation, and “I an flexible” contains an incorrect verb form. The availability sentence would be clearer with parallel phrasing and consistent capitalisation of days. Review articles, verb forms, and how you join sentences; these corrections would improve accuracy without requiring more complicated structures.
