I am writing this letter to know about the opportunity of voluntary work in your museum. It can be really helpful to develop my knowlege related to traditional items and history. This opportunity can be beneficial for my career as well.

I want to do voluntary in the musem because i have interest of learning about the history and to know why it is important to save for future generation.

I know i can be perfect match for this job as i have skills such as communication and teamwork. Being a history student i can easily give details of the monumnets and traditional ietms to visotors and help them to enhance in their knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you explain your interest in history and preservation, mention communication and teamwork, and give specific evening and weekend availability. The reasons for applying are relevant, but they overlap and are only briefly developed; for example, you could explain how working with museum visitors would support your learning or career goals. Your skills are also asserted rather than supported with a brief example. The letter is 4 words below the required minimum, so add a little relevant detail while ensuring it reaches 150 words. The purpose is clear, but fuller development of the reasons and qualities would make the application more convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: the opening states your purpose, the following paragraphs explain your motivation and suitability, and the final paragraph gives your availability. This makes the main information easy to locate. However, the two motivation paragraphs repeat the idea of learning about history, and the transition between them is limited. The skills paragraph also combines your qualities with what you could do for visitors without developing the connection. Use clearer links to show how your interest, experience as a history student, and visitor-facing skills fit together. A more purposeful closing sentence would also help the letter feel complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “traditional items,” “history,” “communication,” “teamwork,” and “visitors,” so your meaning is generally understandable. There are, however, several spelling errors, such as “knowlege,” “musem,” “monumnets,” and “visotors,” alongside inaccurate or unnatural phrases such as “do voluntary” and “enhance in their knowledge.” These reduce the accuracy and naturalness of the letter. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling carefully. You could also vary repeated references to learning and history with suitable terms such as “historical artefacts,” “preservation,” or “guide visitors,” where appropriate.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You use a mix of simple sentences and some more developed structures, including “Being a history student, I can…” and the sentence explaining that the opportunity could benefit your career. The main message remains clear, but some grammatical errors occur. For example, “I have interest of learning” needs a more accurate article and preposition pattern, while “why it is important to save for future generation” is missing a clear object and has a singular/plural issue. Capitalisation is also inconsistent in “i,” and the closing phrase “Looking forward to see you” uses an incorrect verb form. Review these patterns and use a wider range of accurately controlled sentences.
