Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose by applying for the role and giving reasons, relevant skills, and availability. For example, you explain that you want to contribute to society and that you live nearby, and you offer painting and cartoon-design skills. However, these points are only briefly stated: the letter does not explain how your skills could support museum activities in detail, and “I am available on weekend” gives no specific days or hours. The response is also below the required 150 words, so there is limited space to develop the application. Add a fuller explanation of your motivation, relevant experience or qualities, and a clear availability schedule to make the response more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter has a generally coherent arrangement: you introduce your application, explain your motivation, describe what you could contribute, and finish with your availability and a closing. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these points, and “Firstly” signals a reason. However, the progression is quite abrupt, with little development or linking between ideas; for instance, the move from being a painter to designing cartoon signs is not explained. Some linking is also mechanical, as in “Firstly” and “moreover.” Use a clearer sequence and connect each skill to a specific museum need. A more complete closing paragraph could also bring together your availability and enthusiasm before the sign-off.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use a small but relevant range of vocabulary for the application, including “social service,” “painter,” “contribute to society,” and “available.” These choices make your purpose and potential contribution understandable. However, the range is limited, and several spelling errors or imprecise expressions reduce clarity, such as “intersted,” “campain,” “paintaing,” and “sihn.” Some phrases are also unnatural for this context: “join this campaign” does not clearly describe applying for a museum volunteer role, and “design sign of cartoon” is difficult to interpret. Choose accurate, natural expressions such as “volunteer at the museum” and “design cartoon-themed signs,” and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

Your sentences are mostly simple, and the basic message can generally be followed, but the range of structures is limited and errors occur frequently. Examples include missing spaces and sentence punctuation in “I am Kamal singh.I reside,” the article and noun pattern in “I am skill trade worker,” and the incomplete phrasing “Looking forward to hearing you from you soon.” There are also problems with articles and number in “on weekend,” as well as inconsistent sentence construction around “where ever my help is needed.” Practise accurate sentence boundaries, articles, and complete verb patterns. You can then add a few controlled complex sentences to explain how your skills and availability would benefit the museum.
