Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain that the role relates to your studies and career, describe relevant interests and personal strengths, and give specific weekday and weekend availability. The application’s purpose is clear, and the theatre achievement adds useful evidence of communication ability. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, “serve for my nation” is not explained in relation to the museum, and the link between your studies and guiding visitors could be made more specific. The role title is also presented unclearly. To strengthen the letter, explain what you hope to contribute to visitors and connect your experience directly to guiding or supporting museum activities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it introduces your application, gives reasons and relevant qualities, then sets out availability and closes politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and connectors such as “Moreover,” “Additionally,” and “I look forward to hearing from you” support the progression. Some links are less smooth or precise, however. The opening moves abruptly from your studies to “Museum tourist guide,” and the second paragraph repeats the idea of learning and gaining experience without clearly advancing the explanation. The list of strengths also feels compressed. Use clearer transitions between motivation, relevant experience, and the museum’s needs, and make each paragraph develop one distinct point.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range for an application letter, including relevant terms such as “part-time volunteer,” “hands-on experience,” “mass communication skills,” and “problem-solving.” The theatre achievement and references to history help make the vocabulary specific to your application. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, but some combinations are unnatural or imprecise, including “career growth prospects,” “serve for my nation,” and “My keen interest in history and nation.” “Great mass communication skills” is also not a natural collocation. These choices do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they reduce precision and formality. Prefer conventional application language and describe your interest in the museum’s collections or visitors more specifically.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and some more complex forms, such as “not only to learn but also a chance to serve” and “I would be available for work after my college.” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors and punctuation problems are noticeable. For example, “I am writing this letter to inform that” needs an object after “inform,” and “Since this position ‘Museum tourist guide’, This…” is an incomplete sentence with incorrect capitalization after the comma. In “I have a great mass communication skills, I have won…,” two independent clauses are joined with a comma. There are also agreement and article issues in “My keen interest in history and nation are my valuable asset.” Review sentence boundaries, articles, and subject–verb agreement, while retaining your attempts at varied structures.
