Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three points: you explain that you are interested in learning about museums, describe relevant interests and visitor-guiding ability, and state that you are available during your vacation except on weekends. The application purpose is clear, and the details about your history interest and availability are relevant. However, some ideas are less fully explained than others. For example, “I got project on the museum” does not clarify what the project involves or how it motivates you to volunteer, and watching videos about dinosaur bones is not developed into a clear account of useful museum experience. Explain more specifically what you hope to learn and how your skills would help visitors or staff.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: the opening gives your reason for writing, the next paragraph describes your interests and abilities, and the final paragraph covers availability and closes the application. Linking expressions such as “In Addition” and “Moreover” help connect points, although some connections feel mechanical or do not introduce a complete idea; “Moreover, How to maintain the stuff” is a fragment rather than a developed supporting point. The reference to “the stuff” is also unclear, so readers must infer what it means. To improve progression, group related details more smoothly and use clear references, for example, explain what museum objects you mean before describing how you could help care for them.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough task-related vocabulary to communicate the main message, including “voluntary work,” “history,” “guide the visitor,” and “information.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings are inaccurate, which makes parts of the letter less natural. Phrases such as “museum things,” “museum stuff,” and “the stuff” are vague and repeated; “museum exhibits” or “artefacts” would be more precise. There are also spelling errors in “mueseum,” “dinasours,” and “youtubes.” Aim for accurate, specific vocabulary and natural collocations, such as “I am interested in learning about the museum’s collections” rather than “fond of learning museum things.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Your letter communicates its main points using a mixture of short statements and some longer sentences, including “I can work everyday except Saturday And Sunday.” However, there are some errors in sentence construction, verb forms, articles, and punctuation. For example, “I am writing to apply part-time voluntary work position for museum” needs a clearer grammatical pattern, such as “I am writing to apply for a part-time voluntary position at the museum.” “I used to watched” should be “I used to watch,” while “I got project” needs an article and a more suitable verb. The fragment “Moreover, How to maintain the stuff” also needs to be joined to a complete sentence. Practise accurate sentence patterns and consistent capitalization.
