Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain your interest in history, art and culture, describe relevant personal qualities and communication skills, and state that weekends and weekday evenings are possible. The purpose of applying is clear, and the reasons are relevant. However, some points are only briefly stated. For example, “help others” and “do something about our community” are not explained in relation to museum visitors or the work itself, and your skills would be more convincing with a specific example. The availability is useful but could be clearer about which days and hours you can commit to. The letter therefore covers the task well overall, while some ideas need further development to make the application more persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear overall progression: you introduce your application, explain your motivation, describe your qualities, give your availability, and close politely. Paragraphing supports this sequence, and phrases such as “Regarding my skills and qualities” and “As far as my availability” help signal each new point. The ideas are generally easy to follow. Some linking is less smooth, however: “Moreover” and “In addition” connect points, but the relationships between those points are not always developed, and the final availability sentence combines several details with awkward punctuation. A more natural progression within paragraphs, with clearer links between your interests and the museum role, would make the cohesion more flexible and less formulaic.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the application, including “communication skills,” “responsible,” “visitors,” and “availability,” and your meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “voulantry,” “higly,” “intrested,” “punchual,” and “resposibilties.” Some phrases are also unnatural or unclear, such as “I love visting new people” and “these qualities are willing be a good candiate.” These errors can make the reader pause, particularly in a formal letter. Aim to learn accurate spellings of common application vocabulary and use natural collocations, such as “meet visitors,” “take on responsibilities,” and “a suitable candidate.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a sentence introduced by “Regarding my skills and qualities.” The overall message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity. For example, “i keen intersted in this job beacause” needs a complete verb structure, while “i am also do work” should use either “I also work” or “I can also work.” There are also issues with articles, agreement and sentence boundaries, as in “a punchual” and “person. My communication.” Capitalisation and punctuation are inconsistent. Practise building accurate application sentences with correct verb forms and articles, then check each sentence for a complete subject and verb.
