I hope you are doing great. I am writing this letter to show my interest in doing voluntary job in a museum which is few step from my home.
Recently, I finished my academics, I am free at home. To get some knowldge and know more in detail about the museum i want to do unpaid work which helps me to grab more knowledge about our history.
I have some skills and qualities which would be useful for museum. I have organisational skills. I would manage the museum stuff like photographs and boooks as per their yearly order. Plus, I have joined a classes of photography too. The photographs in the museum which neeeds some editing I will do that.
After 15th of November, I would be available for work. Right now, I am preparing for myself to do this voluntary job. As I am gaining more skills, which would be helps to make museum more organised .

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requested points: you explain that you want to learn about the museum and history, describe organisational and photography skills, and state that you are available after 15 November. The letter is relevant and its purpose is clear. The skills section is the most specific, with examples such as arranging photographs and books and editing images. However, your motivation could be developed further by explaining why this particular museum interests you, and your availability is not precise about days or hours. The claim that you are preparing for the job is also unclear. More detail on these points would make the application more fully developed and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: an opening application, paragraphs about your motivation and skills, and a final paragraph giving your availability. This makes the main information easy to locate. You also use basic links such as “Plus” and “After 15th of November” to connect ideas. At times, however, the progression is less smooth: “Right now, I am preparing for myself to do this voluntary job” does not clearly connect to the availability information, and “As I am gaining more skills” repeats an idea without explaining it. Use more precise transitions and ensure each paragraph develops one clear point. A conventional closing would also make the letter feel more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main purpose and relevant skills, including “organisational skills,” “photography,” and “editing.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural or imprecise, such as “voluntary job,” “grab more knowledge,” and “museum stuff.” Spelling errors, including “knowldge,” “boooks,” “neeeds,” and “reponse,” are noticeable and reduce the polish of the letter. Choose more precise terms for museum materials and describe your motivation in natural language. Proofreading for spelling and using standard phrases for an application would improve clarity and appropriacy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, and the reader can generally understand your message. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “a museum which is few step from my home” needs a plural noun and an article or determiner, while “I have joined a classes” has an article–number mismatch. The sentence beginning “Recently, I finished my academics” joins two independent ideas with a comma, and “which would be helps” has an incorrect verb form. Aim for accurate, complete sentences and check subject–verb agreement and articles. These corrections would make your meaning more consistently clear.
