Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing this letter to you regarding the part-time unpaid work in your museum.
To begin with, I would really love to work in your museum. I want to meet different types of people and communicate with them about the museum. The museum is all about our country's history and artifacts so I am more fascinated to get the real data of the past and gain some knowledge while doing unpaid work as a guide person.
In addition, I am quite punctual and diligent person. I can communicate very well with strangers. Moreover, I fully committed to my work and enthuastic person. I have a caring and helping qualities. I do have a certificate in software computer so I can work with computer effortlessly.
In morning, I am going to university from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm, therefore, I can available in afternoon from 3:00 pm till late night.
I am hoping to get positive response from you soon.
Yours faithfully,
Tasbiyah

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three requirements: you explain your interest in learning about the country’s history, describe relevant qualities and computer skills, and state when you are available. The purpose of the letter is clear, and the details about communicating with visitors and your university schedule are relevant. However, some points are only partly developed. For example, you say you want to “meet different types of people” and gain knowledge, but you could explain more specifically how you would contribute to the museum or support its visitors. Your availability is also somewhat unclear because “from 3:00 pm till late night” does not give a definite finishing time. More precise, developed details would make the application more convincing.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear overall progression: you introduce your application, explain your motivation, describe your qualities, and finish with your availability and closing. Paragraphing helps the reader distinguish these points, and linking phrases such as “To begin with” and “In addition” make the sequence easy to follow. The organisation is effective, though some transitions feel formulaic, and the final availability paragraph moves quickly from your university hours to your proposed work hours. You could connect these details more smoothly and specify the days you are free. The opening and closing are appropriate for a formal application, although addressing the director as “Dear Sir or Madam” would match the requested format and remain suitable when the recipient’s gender is unknown.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to the application, including “punctual,” “diligent,” “communicate,” and “certificate,” and your meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “artifacts” and “real data of the past,” but some choices are unnatural or imprecise. “Guide person” would be more naturally expressed as “museum guide” or “visitor guide,” while “real data of the past” does not clearly convey historical information. Spelling errors such as “enthuastic” are noticeable, and phrases like “caring and helping qualities” are awkward. Aim for accurate collocations and check spelling so your vocabulary sounds more natural and professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple sentences and longer structures, including a sentence with “therefore” to explain how your university schedule affects your availability. The message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “I am quite punctual and diligent person” needs an article, and “I fully committed to my work” needs a form of “be.” In “I can available in afternoon,” the verb structure and article are missing; write “I am available in the afternoon.” The sentence beginning “The museum is all about…” also joins several ideas in a way that would benefit from clearer sentence boundaries. Practise articles, verb forms, and complete sentence patterns to improve accuracy while retaining varied structures.
