Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address the three main points: you explain that you live nearby and have knowledge of the museum, describe customer-service and storytelling abilities, and give weekend and weekday availability. These details make the application relevant. However, the reason for wanting to volunteer is not fully clear: “I have recently completed my study” and knowing the museum’s history describe your background, but do not explain what motivates you to help there. Some claims, such as knowing “each and every thing” about the museum, are also broad rather than supported with a specific example. Develop your motivation and connect your experience more directly to how you would assist visitors. The letter’s purpose is understandable, but some task points remain underdeveloped.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The information follows a generally sensible order: you introduce yourself, describe your background and skills, state your availability, and close with a request. Paragraph breaks and signposting such as “Firstly” and “Furthermore” help the reader follow the main points. This clear overall arrangement is a strength. However, the links between ideas are sometimes mechanical, and phrases such as “As I have already mention” repeat information rather than move the application forward. The skills paragraph also combines several points in a long sentence, making the relationship between your museum knowledge and storytelling less clear. Use more natural transitions and separate distinct ideas into shorter, focused sentences to make the progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use vocabulary relevant to the application, including “part-time,” “communication skill,” “customer service,” “in-depth detail,” and “availability.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main points. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “heared,” “voluntiers,” “expain,” “constomer,” and “oppertunity.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise: “I am at story telling” and “take more interest into” do not clearly express your intended meaning. “Each and every thing” is overly broad for a formal application. Check spelling carefully and learn natural collocations for describing experience and visitor engagement, such as “I am skilled at storytelling” and “engage visitors.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple sentences and longer structures, for example, “As I have already mention that I have in-depth detail of museum along with that I am at story telling.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but the longer constructions are often difficult to control. There are frequent errors in sentence structure and grammar, such as the missing subject in “am writing,” “I have recently competed my study,” and “I enable to work.” Articles and prepositions are also missing or inaccurate in phrases such as “5 minutes walk from museum” and “look forward for your response.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then build longer sentences with correct verb forms and linking.
