This issue affects the mental as well as physical health issues. This essay intends to elaborate few causes for given perspective and also provide measures to compansate for the same.
To begin with, thre are several reasons why less sleep has become an issue for most of the human beings. The primary cause can be the extreme work load as its hard to survive in this growing economy with only one job. Therefore, many inidivuals spend their spare time in doing part time job and doesn't take required rest. Apart from that, it has been proved by researchers that using mobile phone before going to bed affects the eyes sight and can cause trouble in sleeping.
Furthermore, most of the poeple do not take the enough amount of needed nutritious food due to having busy schedules can also lead to poor physical health which eventually afftect in getting a good night sleep. These factors have combined to create the issue in getting enough sleep.
Fortunately, this issue can be resolved in a number of ways. People can read books or spend time in talking or playing board games with family ranther than scrolling phone before going to bed. This would also put positive impact on their child as well as helps one to gain knowledge. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the prompt by identifying possible causes of poor sleep and suggesting ways to improve it. The discussion of workload and phone use is relevant, and the advice to replace bedtime scrolling with reading or family activities is practical. However, the task asks what problems lack of sleep can cause, while your response mainly explains why people sleep poorly. Physical and mental health are mentioned, but the consequences are not clearly developed with specific effects or examples. The point about nutrition is also presented as a cause of poor sleep without explaining the connection. To strengthen the response, distinguish causes from consequences and develop each with a clear explanation, such as reduced concentration, irritability, or lower work performance, alongside more fully explained solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on another contributing factor, a solutions paragraph, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “In addition to this” help signal the sequence, and the reader can follow the main line of thought. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some effective progression. However, the paragraphing follows causes and solutions rather than the two questions in the prompt, so the consequences are not given a distinct, developed place. Some links are mechanical, and “These factors” refers broadly to several points without clarifying their relationship. Organise the body around consequences and remedies, and use more precise references between ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “mental well-being,” “work load,” “nutritious food,” and “good night sleep.” There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “physical health” and “mental breakdown,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural and reduce precision. Examples include “affects the eyes sight,” “compansate for the same,” and “boost the enery”; spelling errors such as “adaquate,” “inidivuals,” and “nutitions” are noticeable. The range is therefore limited and errors sometimes make the reader pause, even though the overall meaning remains understandable. Focus on accurate collocations and spelling, and choose specific terms for sleep-related effects rather than broad or imprecise expressions.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “However,” “Therefore,” and “which,” and the overall meaning is generally recoverable. However, control is inconsistent, particularly in longer sentences. For example, “many of the people do not take the enough amount … due to having busy schedules can also lead” has an unclear subject and an awkwardly joined structure. There are also agreement and verb-form problems in “many individuals … doesn’t take” and “which eventually boost,” as well as article and plural errors in “a good night sleep.” These recurring errors fit a limited level of grammatical control and can make some relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise building one clear main clause before adding subordinate information, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries.
