Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention technical devices and work stress as causes, the explanation of the consequences (e.g., 'eyesight problems') is quite brief and could be expanded with more depth. Similarly, the solutions provided are relevant but lack detailed elaboration. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with specific examples or logical consequences rather than just listing them. The position is clear, but the overall development remains basic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Moreover', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'Addition to this' or 'As the result of overthinking'. Additionally, the flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother. The referencing is generally clear, but the progression of ideas could be more sophisticated to improve the overall coherence of the argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on basic terms like 'technical devices', 'problems', and 'work'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice, such as 'demolished' (which is usually used for buildings, not problems) and 'more dependability' (which should be 'greater reliance'). To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and less common vocabulary related to health and lifestyle. While your meaning is generally clear, the limited range prevents a higher score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('numerous individual faces', 'this devices') and article usage. Sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complex forms, such as 'It can be mitigate' (should be 'mitigated') and 'the above mention points describes' (should be 'mentioned points describe'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent and affect the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on basic grammatical accuracy and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve your score.
