Student answer (Band 6.5)
Health plays a crucial role in recent era. In this context, a certain section of society believes that it become challengeable to have proper sleep. This essay will examine the primary causes of this problem and suggest visible solutions to address it.
On the one hand, one of the main problems behind the improper sleep is depression. This is primarily because lack of sleep will result into inactiveness and will impact the mental health. As a result, the performance of the individual will be gradually decreased at the office or school. For instance, many IT industries are focusing on the employee's mental health and give them enough time to recover in order to boost the performance of their company, Also some of the companies prefer 4 days schedule so the worker can have a enough sleep and rest.
On the other hand, a number of effective measures can be taken to trackle this issue. The most visible solution is to follow a routine for the diet and sleep cycle. The main rationale behind this is that having coffee or energy drinks which are high in caffeine during the sleep hours can disturb the sleep; as a result, an individual finds hard to have a sleep. To exemplify, a survey was conducted in the New York city and it was found that 75% of the teenagers find hard to sleep after consuming Redbull drink while playing different sports during school hours.
In conclusion, Although there are valid problems behind lack of sleep, managing a proper routine life and diet can help to regain the normal sleep over time.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact on mental health and the suggestion of a structured routine. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the link between depression and sleep is mentioned but not fully explored, and the example regarding IT companies is a bit vague. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more detailed explanations or specific, well-integrated examples. The position is clear, but the overall depth of the argument could be improved to fully satisfy the requirements of a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'As a result' to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel a bit mechanical or slightly misused, such as the comma splice in '...performance of their company, Also some of the companies...'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear. Improving the variety of your linking words and ensuring that punctuation is used correctly to separate independent clauses will enhance the flow and coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'crucial role', 'rationale', and 'inactiveness'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'it become challengeable' (it has become challenging), 'result into inactiveness' (result in inactivity), and 'trackle this issue' (tackle this issue). While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more precise vocabulary usage. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that the words you choose fit the context naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. Examples include 'it become challengeable' (subject-verb agreement), 'finds hard to have a sleep' (missing article/awkward phrasing), and 'in the New York city' (unnecessary article). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they are frequent enough to limit the score. Focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage to improve your accuracy.
