Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While you mention hectic schedules and technology as causes, the discussion on the actual 'problems' caused by lack of sleep is very brief, merely mentioning 'serious health problems' without specific examples or elaboration. To reach a higher band, you should provide concrete examples of these health consequences (e.g., impaired cognitive function, weakened immune system, or increased risk of accidents). The solutions provided are relevant, but could be expanded with more depth to fully satisfy the requirements of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'Consequently' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is interrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'Thus, sleep can be taken properly,' which does not logically follow the preceding point about device addiction. Paragraphing is used appropriately, but the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved by ensuring that each sentence builds more naturally upon the previous one.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'deprivation', 'mitigate', and 'predominant'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'several people raise a complaint' (instead of 'complain'), 'give up sleeping hours' (instead of 'sacrifice sleep'), and 'making time table' (instead of 'creating a schedule'). Additionally, there are minor spelling errors like 'moblie' and 'conclution'. While these do not impede communication, they limit the score as they show a lack of precision in more complex lexical items.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('a hectic schedule of people'), prepositions ('addicted of using'), and word forms ('cannot be health'). Some sentences are also structurally awkward, such as 'awareness can be given by doctors... towards sleep.' These errors occur regularly throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct usage of adjectives versus nouns. Despite these errors, the meaning remains clear, which is a positive aspect of your writing.
