To deal with this issue, individuals can make a proper schedule for each of their tasks so that they can maintain balance and have a proper 7-8 hours of sleep.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as health issues like dementia and the impact on workplace productivity. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the link between sedentary lifestyles and dementia is mentioned but not fully explored. The solutions provided, such as scheduling and reducing phone usage, are practical but could be expanded with more detail or specific examples to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, and the response maintains a consistent focus on the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. There is a basic progression of ideas from the introduction to the body paragraphs and the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'Moving forward,' and 'To conclude,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and the internal cohesion within paragraphs could be improved. For example, the connection between the sentences in the second paragraph is a bit repetitive. Overall, the information is arranged coherently, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task, allowing the writer to communicate their ideas clearly. There are some attempts at using less common vocabulary, such as 'sedentary lifestyle' and 'productivity,' which is positive. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there is some repetition of basic words like 'issues' and 'proper.' Some word choices are slightly unnatural, such as 'have clean diet' instead of 'maintain a healthy diet.' While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey meaning, it lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('lack of sleep can leads to') and awkward phrasing ('the situation will get more worse'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some minor errors in sentence construction. The writer demonstrates an ability to use complex sentences, but the frequency of errors prevents the writing from being considered highly accurate. The errors do not, however, impede the reader's understanding of the main points.
