Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of 'lack of concentration' as a cause of sleep issues is logically confused; the prompt asks for the consequences of sleep deprivation, not the causes of the deprivation itself. While you mention productivity and workplace conflict, these points are underdeveloped. To reach a higher band, ensure that your arguments directly answer the prompt's specific questions and provide more detailed, logical explanations for each point raised.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude' to signal transitions. However, some of these transitions feel mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'Whereas I will mention' in the introduction, which does not fit the context. Additionally, the flow between sentences is occasionally interrupted by awkward phrasing, which makes the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'escalating', 'productivity', and 'hazardous'. However, there are several instances of inaccurate word choice and collocation, such as 'curve this issue' (should be 'curb'), 'cannot acquired' (should be 'cannot acquire'), and 'result downfall' (should be 'result in a downfall'). These errors occasionally distract the reader, though they do not prevent the message from being understood. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and ensuring that the words you choose are used in the correct grammatical form.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly with verb tenses and subject-verb agreement, such as 'a multitude of students believes' (should be 'believe') and 'their mind and body has not been relaxing' (should be 'have not been relaxed'). Additionally, there are issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and tense consistency will significantly improve your accuracy.
