Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is quite thin. While you mention 'hectic schedules' and 'social media' as causes and solutions, these ideas are not fully extended. For instance, you mention that lack of sleep causes problems, but you do not explicitly detail what those problems are (e.g., health issues, reduced productivity, or cognitive decline). The essay focuses more on the causes and solutions rather than the consequences of sleep deprivation. To improve, ensure you explicitly answer every part of the question with clear, developed examples.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'In other words' and 'To illustrate it', but some transitions feel mechanical or slightly misused, such as 'By virtue of which' at the start of sentences. The logical flow is generally present, but the connection between the ideas within paragraphs could be smoother. The concluding paragraph is quite brief and relies on somewhat repetitive phrasing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring they are used naturally will help elevate your score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an attempt to use a wider range of vocabulary, such as 'Gordian knot', 'multifarious', 'conspicuous', and 'ingeminated'. However, some of these are used incorrectly or sound unnatural in this context (e.g., 'ingeminated' is very rare and not appropriate here). There are also collocation errors, such as 'make both end meet' (should be 'make ends meet') and 'authority of business' (should be 'business owners' or 'employers'). While the vocabulary is ambitious, the lack of precision in word choice limits the effectiveness of your communication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include 'majority of people' (needs 'the'), 'individuals has become' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'recently the survey is conducted' (incorrect tense/passive voice). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt complex structures, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage will lead to significant improvements.
