Student answer (Band 6.0)
Recently, so many individuals are facing an issue of sleep loss. Out of
many reasons of less sleep, common conerns are work pressure which cause the stress and depression due to stay away from the family for work or study purposes. To ovecome these challanges, people can do some form of excercise or stay close to loves ones or seek doctors help. I will explain this in detail in my essay.
As per the recent research, more than 50% of population in world are having trouble of sleep loss and when the reasons of this study came out, the popular causes were work pressure and migration. In the current fast moving world, almost all companies expect something new or innovative from the employees which causes stress to the individual. Additionally, they start feeling that if they will not be to meet the orgnization expectation, they will loose the job. Which affects their mental health and become the foremost reason of less sleep. Another cause of not getting the enough sleep is, so many folks migrate from hometown to the other city for study or work which hampers a person to feel lonely or depressed due to home sickness. At the end, it affects their mental health and sometimes caused sleep depreviation as well.
To overcome these issues, I believe each individual should do any form of excercise or spend some time doing what they like in terms of hobby such as cricket, badminton or hocky. These activity involves some form physical movement and it helps human being to feel tired which force an individual to provide enough rest to the body and helps to sleep. Moreover, if a person is facing serious issue of sleep loss due to depression, then they should compulsory seek doctor's guidance and specially meet the psychiatrist which helps to indentify the reason and support in providing suitable solution. For instance, one my cousin moved to Canada for work, he was feelling home sickness and doctor help her to understand that she should spend some time with the parents as she was not getting proper sleep. After staying with the family for couple of days, she felt fresh and energized.
To conclude, I can say there are many reasons of sleep loss and it has become common nowadays. However, people should seek the appropropriate guidance and also stay close to the loved ones because the family or friends helps a person to feel secured.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as work-related stress and the impact of migration on mental health. However, the development is somewhat uneven. While the solutions are practical, the explanation of the problems could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, and the essay follows a logical structure that covers all requirements of the task. To improve, ensure that the link between the problems and the consequences is more explicitly detailed rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. There is a logical progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Additionally', 'Moreover', and 'To conclude', though some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Referencing is generally clear, although there are minor issues with pronoun consistency, such as the shift in gender when referring to the cousin in the third paragraph. Overall, the information is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express ideas clearly. There are attempts to use less common vocabulary, such as 'deprivation' and 'innovative', but there are also frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'excercise', 'hocky', 'orgnization', 'appropropriate'). Some word choices are slightly imprecise, such as 'hampers a person to feel lonely' instead of 'causes a person to feel lonely'. While these errors do not impede communication, they indicate a need for more careful proofreading and a wider range of precise collocations to reach a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('Which affects their mental health and become the foremost reason') and article usage ('more than 50% of population in world'). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some awkward phrasings that affect the flow. While the writer attempts complex sentences, the frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents a higher score. Focusing on sentence construction and proofreading for subject-verb agreement would significantly improve the accuracy of the writing.
