Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention that lack of sleep impacts life negatively and causes physical/mental fatigue, the discussion on the 'problems' is quite brief and focuses heavily on diet rather than a broader range of consequences. The solutions are practical, but the explanation of how they directly resolve sleep issues could be more detailed. To reach a higher band, ensure that you fully explore the implications of the problems mentioned and provide more nuanced, well-supported arguments for the solutions.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'For example', 'On top of that', and 'In conclusion', to link ideas. However, the progression between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear (e.g., 'This usually happens because of not eating healthy food this leads in...'). The flow could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'immune system', 'protiens' (spelled incorrectly), and 'temptations'. However, there are several spelling errors (e.g., 'eassy', 'daliy', 'protiens', 'Harmones') and some awkward phrasing, such as 'avoiding healthy food, not maintaining their physic'. To improve, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring correct spelling, as these errors occasionally distract the reader. Expanding your range to include more academic collocations would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('this leads in lowering', 'which disturbes', 'all these would eventually makes') and sentence construction ('even though if it is just a simple drill'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some run-on sentences. To achieve a higher score, you need to increase the frequency of error-free sentences and pay closer attention to basic grammatical rules, such as verb forms and pluralisation.
