Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by sleep deprivation and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. While the link between screen time and sleep is clear, the explanation of the problems is slightly repetitive, focusing heavily on technology rather than a broader range of health consequences. The solutions are relevant, but some points, such as 'making friends in park', are a bit simplistic. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on the consequences of sleep deprivation (e.g., cognitive impairment, immune system issues) and provide more detailed, nuanced solutions.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Nevertheless', 'In addition', and 'Furthermore' to link your points. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing and sentence-level flow, such as the awkward phrasing in 'One one hand, Many people'. The use of paragraphing is appropriate, and the overall structure helps the reader follow your argument, though more sophisticated linking words would improve the flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sleep deprivation', 'physical and mental well-being', and 'productivity'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'daily gadgets' instead of 'electronic devices' and 'effecting their productivity' (should be 'affecting'). The vocabulary is generally functional but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific collocations and avoid repeating basic terms like 'spending more time'.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with capitalization (e.g., 'Many', 'People'), punctuation, and subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'reward themselves brings a lot of improvements'). Some sentences are slightly disjointed, such as the run-on structure in the second paragraph. While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for basic errors and ensuring consistent verb forms will help improve your accuracy.
