Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention stress and technology as causes, the explanation of the consequences is limited to 'exhaustion and loss of interest,' which is quite brief. The solutions, such as meditation and a bedtime routine, are relevant but could be expanded with more detailed examples or reasoning to fully satisfy the requirements of a Band 7 or higher. The introduction is also slightly inaccurate, as it mentions discussing 'reasons' for the trend, whereas the prompt specifically asks for 'problems' caused by lack of sleep.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from causes to solutions. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly,' 'In addition,' and 'To Conclude' to link your points. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For instance, the transition 'Surprisingly, There are some few smalls steps' is slightly unnatural. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes unclear, and the paragraphing, while present, could be more effectively used to separate distinct ideas more clearly. Overall, the structure is coherent, but the management of cohesive devices is somewhat basic.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. You use some relevant terms like 'meditation,' 'attention span,' and 'exhaustion,' but there are several instances of imprecise word choice and non-standard collocations, such as 'sleep depreciation' (instead of 'sleep deprivation'), 'active nerves system,' and 'stay disciple in live.' These errors occasionally make the meaning slightly opaque. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more academic vocabulary to express your ideas with greater accuracy and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that affect the readability of the text. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('many people which says'), article usage ('the smart phone'), and incorrect word forms ('smalls steps'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, with several instances of missing spaces after periods and unnecessary capitalization. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for small errors would significantly improve your score.
