Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention health and productivity issues, the explanation lacks depth. Similarly, the solutions provided, such as 'plan accordingly' and 'leave work at the workplace,' are quite general. To achieve a higher band, you should provide more detailed examples or logical explanations for your points. For instance, instead of just saying it makes people sick, you could elaborate on the long-term cognitive or physical health consequences. The position is clear, but the overall development of ideas is limited.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Although, peaceful sleeps make you fresh' is grammatically incorrect and does not function well as a connector. Additionally, some sentences within paragraphs feel disjointed, such as the shift from workplace stress to the personal anecdote about a colleague. While there is an overall progression, the flow between ideas could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing is more precise throughout the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'fulfilling the sleep' (which is non-standard) and 'do extra time.' There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'responsibilities factors' and 'unusual things.' While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary limits the score. To improve, focus on learning collocations related to health and stress, and try to use more precise terminology to describe the consequences of sleep deprivation.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation that occasionally hinder the flow. Examples include 'In current era' (missing article), 'workplace stress have to leave' (subject-verb agreement), and 'person itself analyze' (incorrect pronoun/verb form). The sentence 'One of our colleague, used to do extra time' also contains punctuation and grammatical errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to suggest a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and article usage would significantly improve your accuracy.
