Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the impact of poor scheduling and overthinking, and the solutions provided, like time management and reading, are logical. However, the development is somewhat limited. The explanation of the consequences of sleep deprivation is brief, focusing more on the causes. To reach a higher band, you should expand on the specific health or professional consequences of sleep loss rather than just mentioning depression. The position is clear throughout, and the response is well-focused on the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and Foremost', 'Another major reason', and 'Turing towards solutions' (likely meant 'Turning'). However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly awkward. Referencing is generally clear, but there are instances where the flow is interrupted by grammatical errors, such as 'This method not only plan their day, but also it will give them flexibility'. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words would enhance the overall progression of your arguments.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your ideas clearly. You attempt some less common items like 'ailments' (though used incorrectly here, as it means illnesses rather than solutions) and 'flexibility'. There are several word-choice errors, such as 'ailments to get rid from this problem' and 'overthinks' used as a noun. Spelling is generally accurate, but the range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensuring that words are used in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some individual does not', 'people is failed'), incorrect prepositions ('affected from', 'worried from'), and awkward phrasing ('if they they did reading'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar and sentence construction prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring consistent use of articles and prepositions.
