Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, covering screen time, diet, and work-life balance. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, while you mention that lack of sleep ruins a daily routine, you could have expanded on the specific health or cognitive consequences (e.g., reduced concentration or long-term health risks) to reach a higher band. The position is clear throughout, but the depth of analysis remains at a functional level rather than a fully developed one.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use cohesive devices such as 'Consequently', 'Moreover', and 'However' to link ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though there are minor issues with flow, such as the abrupt transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the problems from the solutions, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'indigestion', 'gastro', and 'ayurveda'. There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'fixed our sleep' instead of 'improve our sleep' or 'getting this sleep problems' instead of 'experiencing these sleep problems'. While you attempt to use less common vocabulary, the errors occasionally draw attention. To improve, focus on using collocations more naturally and ensuring that word forms (e.g., 'discipline' vs 'disciplined') are used correctly in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('many doctors warns', 'people learns') and article usage ('the problem of not getting properly sleep'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'It's not the problem with sleeps'. While these errors do not impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. Increasing the variety of complex structures while ensuring accuracy in basic agreement and pluralization will help improve your score in this criterion.
