Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat limited. While you mention 'hectic work life' and 'poor food intake' as causes, the explanation remains quite general. The solutions, such as 'balancing work and personal life,' are relevant but lack specific, practical detail. The conclusion is incomplete, cutting off mid-sentence, which prevents a fully developed summary of your position. To improve, ensure each body paragraph provides a more detailed example or explanation to fully explore the implications of your points.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices like 'Consequently,' 'Moreover,' and 'To illustrate it,' which assist in linking ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and the incomplete final sentence. The use of referencing is sometimes unclear, such as 'one is spending more and more hours,' which feels slightly repetitive and mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your concluding paragraph is fully finished to provide a sense of closure.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'insomnia,' 'metabolism,' 'burnouts,' and 'muscle stiffness.' However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'body pattern' instead of 'circadian rhythm' or 'biological clock,' and 'relax hormones' instead of 'regulate hormones.' Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'The Number of people nowadays is having problem.' While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, you need to work on collocations and more precise terminology to move into the higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'The one of the most prominent reasons'), subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'if individual is not consuming'), and incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'This can be resolve'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of capital letters in the middle of sentences. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for articles would be highly beneficial.
