Student answer (Band 6.0)
In todays modern society, people have stopped giving importance to their sleep schedule which can cause deletarious affects on their physical and mental health like increased heart rate, high blood pressure, poor concentration, weight gain, brain fog etcetera but these problems can be tackled by following simple measures which will be discussed in detail in the upcoming paragraphs.
Firstly, the adverse effects which can be problematic to an individual's daily life is an increased heart rate and high blood pressure. Because of an inappropriate sleep, the body never recovers from the stress due to which it leaves a deep impact on the heart rate. Not only it blocks you physical capabilititeas but also affects the mental health in various ways. For instance, there was a research conducted in Germany which showed the people who are not following a healthy sleep cycle are not able to function their brain properly, even when doing basic daily chores.
Secondly, now discussing the solution which can be implied easily is reducing the consumption of Smartphones as they are the root cause of this problem. According to a research by Dr. Babu Maan in 2025, It shows that if an individual leaves his/her phone fourty minutes before the sleep, it would result in better recover for the brain and eyes.
Letting your body rest for at least 8 Hours is the minimum sleep a human should take.
In conclusion, I would like to state that sleep is the most basic thing which any person could do for a healthy body. As there is nothing above your health because that's the real wealth of a human being.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention physical and mental health issues, the explanation of these points is brief and relies on general statements. The solution regarding smartphone usage is relevant, but the essay would benefit from a more thorough exploration of other solutions, such as lifestyle changes or professional help, to provide a more comprehensive answer. The conclusion is quite short and does not effectively summarize the main points discussed in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the problem and the solution could be smoother. Referencing is generally clear, but some sentences feel disconnected, such as the final sentence of the second paragraph regarding the 8-hour sleep recommendation, which appears abruptly without a clear link to the preceding argument about smartphones.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'deletarious', 'adverse effects', and 'consumption'. However, there are several spelling errors, such as 'deletarious' (deleterious), 'affects' (effects), 'capabilititeas' (capabilities), and 'fourty' (forty). These errors are noticeable but do not significantly impede communication. To reach a higher band, you should aim for more precise word choices and ensure correct spelling of common academic vocabulary. The use of 'etcetera' is also slightly informal for an essay of this nature.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical inaccuracies, such as 'people who are not following a healthy sleep cycle are not able to function their brain properly' (should be 'function properly' or 'use their brain properly') and 'the solution which can be implied easily' (should be 'implemented'). Additionally, there are minor punctuation and article errors throughout. While these errors are frequent, they rarely prevent the reader from understanding your intended meaning. Increasing the variety of complex structures while focusing on accuracy will help improve this score.
