Student answer (Band 5.0)

In This we will discuss why many people complain that they have difficulties getting enough sleep. We will discuss the problems can lack of sleep cause.

In my perspective nowadays people have addict too much of phones. they do scrolling at late night they may effect on their sleep cycle. because the person who uses phone at late night and sleep at late night and then go office in early morning have no enough time to fulfill their sleep cycle.

According to a research the scientists prove that a healthy body need atleast eight hours of sleep and do little bit exercise remain healthy for long time. and become physical fit and stay active.

On the hand the people who are not get enough sleep become more sick and lazy. they do not perform they task properly.they feel unactive and lazy whole day. Additionally they do not focus on their work properly.perhaps they attempt lot of mistakes on their work.

Some people may do sleep because of stress especially younger generation owning they have lot of pressure and stress because of unemployment mostly their nights may spend with worries and with overthinking. perhaps it occurr because people have not schedule the things.

Furthermore they are not mange the things on time

I would like to share my experience when I unemployed I was in stress all the time and my nights were sleepless because of stress. I passed my time with scrolling Due to these fact I feel lazy in morning. however things gonna a change after getting job.

Conclusion of this topic if we want to get healthy we must fulfill our sleep cycle which is eight hours. also manage our stress.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development is inconsistent. While you mention health issues and work performance, the ideas are somewhat repetitive and lack depth. For instance, the discussion on stress and unemployment is relevant but could be better linked to specific, actionable solutions beyond just 'managing stress'. The introduction is overly simplistic, and the conclusion is abrupt. To improve, ensure each body paragraph focuses on a distinct point and provides a more detailed explanation or example to fully explore the implications of the issues raised.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is often disrupted by fragmented sentences and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions like 'On the hand' (should be 'On the other hand') and 'Furthermore' are used, but the connection between sentences is often weak. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the sentence 'Some people may do sleep because of stress', which is grammatically confusing. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'in contrast') and ensure that each sentence flows naturally into the next to create a more cohesive argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive, relying on basic terms like 'lazy', 'work', and 'sleep'. There are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'addict too much of phones' instead of 'addicted to their phones' and 'attempt lot of mistakes' instead of 'make many mistakes'. The range is insufficient to express complex ideas with precision. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations related to health and lifestyle, and try to incorporate more precise vocabulary to replace generic words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('scientists prove that a healthy body need'), article usage, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragmented or lack proper punctuation, such as 'they do not perform they task properly.they feel unactive'. The range of structures is limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, including correct verb tenses and the use of prepositions, before attempting more complex structures.
