Student answer (Band 6.0)
A large count of individuals claim that they face problems in sleeping enough. There are several ways which can cause this issue. My essay aims at finding out those problems and possible solutions for them.
In this century, people deal with a lot of stress which cause problems for individuals in sleeping. The most prominent point is every person is dealing with one or another type of problem or crisis which paves the way for high tension in their lives. As a result, mortals face difficulties in sleeping on time. On top of it, people working in rotational shifts are getting badly affected by sleeping issues because they do not have a fixed sleeping schedule which leads to serious consequences of getting sleep patterns disturbed. Apart from this, many folks use electronic gadgets till late night which is big an issue of disturbance in sleep cycle nowadays. To elaborate it, I would like to state an example that a lot of young people watch movies till late night and do not sleep on time having harmful affects later on.
There are certain possible ways to overcome this problem. First of all, people should do some stress relieving exercises before they go to bed by which there is a great likelihood for them to fall asleep as soon as they go to bed. Moreover, there should be permanent schedules for the employees to work so that their sleeping patters can stay the same. Furthermore, youngsters should be educated on following sleep routines on regular basis.
In conclusion, although in modern time there are various factors that cause sleeping imbalance, I believe that some particular measures like day to day education or exercise can help to make the situation better.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as stress, shift work, and electronic device usage. However, the development is somewhat limited. For instance, the discussion on the consequences of sleep deprivation is quite brief; the essay mentions 'serious consequences' and 'harmful affects' without clearly explaining what those consequences are (e.g., cognitive decline, health issues, or productivity loss). To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific details or examples to fully develop your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'In this century', 'On top of it', 'Apart from this', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or repetitive. The referencing is generally clear, though the flow between sentences could be improved by using more sophisticated linking phrases. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, which helps the reader follow your argument easily.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'prominent', 'rotational shifts', and 'imbalance'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'A large count of individuals' (should be 'A large number of') and 'big an issue' (should be 'a major issue'). Additionally, there is a spelling error with 'affects' (should be 'effects' as a noun). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as 'which cause problems' (should be 'which causes') and 'on regular basis' (should be 'on a regular basis'). Some phrasing is slightly unnatural, such as 'mortals face difficulties'. There are enough error-free sentences to ensure communication is not impeded, but the frequency of minor errors in subject-verb agreement and article usage prevents a higher score. Focusing on proofreading for these small slips would significantly improve your accuracy.
