Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the consequences of sleep deprivation and potential solutions. However, the development is somewhat superficial. While you mention stress and workplace performance as consequences, these points are not fully elaborated with specific examples or deeper analysis. Similarly, the solutions provided are quite general, such as 'improve habits' or 'rescheduling work time'. To reach a higher band, you should provide more detailed explanations and concrete examples to support your arguments. The introduction is also a bit informal and repetitive in its questioning style, which detracts from the academic tone required for this task.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'First things first' and 'The reasons for the same are diverse'. Some sentences are fragmented or lack proper transitions, making the flow feel disjointed. For example, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would significantly enhance the logical progression of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on common, repetitive phrasing such as 'most important part of life' and 'get enough sleep'. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'attributes stress' (should be 'leads to' or 'causes') and 'everyone problem' (should be 'every problem'). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to health and lifestyle, and ensure that your word choices are grammatically and contextually accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include missing articles (e.g., 'in order to charge our body'), incorrect punctuation (e.g., missing spaces after periods), and subject-verb agreement errors (e.g., 'everyone problem comes'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors prevent the text from achieving a higher score. Focusing on basic sentence construction, proper punctuation, and proofreading for small grammatical slips would be very beneficial.
