Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by sleep deprivation and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention 'stress' and 'work load' as causes, you do not fully explain the specific consequences of sleep deprivation on health or productivity, which would have strengthened the response. The solutions provided, such as 'digital detox' and 'meditation', are relevant but could be expanded with more detailed reasoning. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is supported by a clear explanation or a more detailed example rather than just listing items.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude' to signal the structure. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence 'It could have several reasons behind it', where 'It' does not clearly refer to the previous noun phrase. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that pronouns clearly refer to their antecedents would enhance the flow of the text.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sleep deprived', 'significance', and 'pivotal'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'many people are struggle' (should be 'struggle') and 'most of celebrity' (should be 'most celebrities'). Additionally, the phrase 'molding one's lifestyle' is slightly unnatural in this context. To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure that word forms are used correctly within the sentence structure.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader, such as 'initiatives should be carry out' (should be 'carried out'), 'one out of four adolescences' (should be 'adolescents'), and 'have a healthy work-life balance is pivotal' (should be 'having'). While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they indicate a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of passive voice will help improve your accuracy.
