Many people are facing difficulties getting enough sleep nowadays. There could be many reasons or circumstances for that to happen. However, there are certain measures that could be perform to get rid of this situation. These essay will include my viewpoints on this topic.

To begin with, lack of sleep can cause numerous consequences. People who are sleep deprived, they feel lazy whole day and this can make their day unproductive. For instance, people who used to scroll their phone till late night and not take usual 7-8 hour sleep, they can not make it to their standard goal at work to the next day which is ultimately affect to the productivity of their business or job. Furthermore, several studies has shown that lack of sleep is causing many health related concerns. People who are suffering from insomnia, at longer time can develop anxiety, stress induced disorders like depression and many digestion issues.

There are certain measures we can perform to cope with this. Individuals should make their sleep schedule to improve their sleep cycle. These can be done with the help of many applications which are now available on smartphones where one can schedule their bed time with the help of sleep mode. Moreover, insomnia is treated with certain medications which are available over-the-counter, or else they can visit the doctor to get advice on this. Lastly, lack of sleep is mostly derived from stress, it is better handled with exposure to nature and doing the activities that give relief from stress such as following hobbies.

To conclude, when there is a problem, there is a solution, same with this situation. Even if there are negative outcomes of lack of sleep, there are best possible ways to overcome the results of not getting enough sleep which can help individual to get away from this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the consequences of sleep deprivation and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as the mention of productivity loss and health issues like anxiety. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For instance, the suggestion to use smartphone apps is a bit simplistic, and the discussion on medical intervention could be more nuanced. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations or specific examples. Your position is clear throughout, and the essay structure is appropriate for the task requirements.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized with a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'To conclude' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or repetitive. For example, the phrase 'These can be done' is a bit vague in its reference. Paragraphing is used effectively to separate the two main ideas. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that pronouns clearly refer back to the intended nouns to improve the flow between sentences.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'sleep deprived', 'unproductive', 'insomnia', and 'over-the-counter'. There are some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'perform to get rid of this situation' (which is unnatural) and 'at longer time' (which should be 'over a longer period'). While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Focus on using more academic collocations and avoiding informal phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'measures that could be perform' (should be 'performed'), 'several studies has shown' (subject-verb agreement error), and 'which is ultimately affect to the productivity' (incorrect verb form and preposition usage). These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a need for more consistent control over verb tenses and passive voice constructions. Focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and basic sentence construction.
