Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention stress and multitasking, the explanation of the consequences (e.g., 'frustrated and anxious') is a bit generic. To reach a higher band, you should provide more specific examples or deeper analysis of the long-term health or societal impacts of sleep deprivation. The solutions provided, such as meditation and exercise, are relevant but could be expanded upon with more detail on how these specifically mitigate the identified problems.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices like 'One of the significant problems,' 'Another reason,' and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of cohesive devices is repetitive. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'there brain still working' (should be 'their'). Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring smoother transitions between ideas would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on common phrases like 'bad habits' and 'competitive world.' There are also some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'it has witnessed as significant concern' (which is grammatically and lexically awkward) and 'there brain' instead of 'their brain.' To improve, try to incorporate more topic-specific vocabulary related to health and psychology, and pay closer attention to word forms and spelling.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('there brain still working'), incorrect verb forms ('result in less time to get sleep'), and misuse of articles or prepositions. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focusing on basic sentence construction and proofreading for common errors like 'their/there' and verb tense consistency will significantly improve your score.
