Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 95 words. This significant under-length prevents the development of ideas, resulting in a very limited response. While the prompt asks for both problems and solutions, the essay is cut off mid-sentence after only briefly mentioning some physical and mental health issues. There is no attempt to address the solutions part of the prompt. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed, and the ideas are severely underdeveloped. To improve, you must ensure you write at least 250 words and provide a balanced response that covers all parts of the question.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure due to its incomplete nature. While there is an attempt at paragraphing, the text is fragmented and ends abruptly. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and often incorrect way, such as starting sentences with 'Which' or 'To commence with.' followed by a period. The progression of ideas is hindered by the lack of completion and the disjointed flow between sentences. To improve, focus on using transition words correctly to link ideas within and between paragraphs, and ensure your essay has a clear introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.5

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, with several errors in word choice and form. For example, 'tiered' is used instead of 'tired,' and 'migration pain' is likely a misuse of 'migraine.' The phrasing 'to much issues' is grammatically incorrect and demonstrates a lack of control over basic collocations. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to express complex ideas effectively. To improve, focus on learning common collocations related to health and lifestyle, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms to ensure your meaning is clear.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('Many individuals faces'), incorrect pluralization ('many peoples'), and sentence fragments ('Which cause numbers of issues'). Punctuation is also problematic, with periods placed incorrectly after introductory phrases. The range of structures is very limited, consisting mostly of simple sentences with errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and correct punctuation. Practicing the difference between simple, compound, and complex sentences will help you achieve a higher band score.
