Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by sleep deprivation and potential solutions. However, the development is limited. While you mention health and mental issues, the explanations are fragmented and lack depth. For instance, the link between sleep and 'heart attack' is stated but not explained, and the solutions provided in the final paragraph are somewhat generic and lack clear structure. To improve, you should focus on developing each point with a clear example or a logical explanation rather than listing ideas. The ideas are relevant, but the overall response feels underdeveloped and lacks a clear, cohesive argument throughout the essay.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the progression of ideas is often disjointed. Many sentences are short and lack logical connectors, making the flow feel mechanical. For example, the transition between the health issues and the impact on students is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and sometimes incorrectly, such as 'One of most issu that one' or 'To concluded that statment'. The referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the argument. Improving the use of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') would significantly enhance the logical flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'full mind out stage' and 'body wait loss', which hinder clarity. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'social media' and 'mental problem', but the range is insufficient to express complex ideas precisely. Spelling errors are also frequent (e.g., 'fase', 'mobil', 'mange'), which impacts the overall quality. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations related to health and lifestyle and ensure you are using words in their correct context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('many person s have active'), tense usage ('they were complete study'), and article usage. These errors are persistent and occasionally make it difficult to understand the intended meaning. While there is an attempt to use complex ideas, the lack of control over basic grammar prevents the use of more sophisticated structures. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct verb tenses, before attempting more complex sentence patterns.
