Student answer (Band 6.0)
Currently a number of individuals claim that they have problems to get enough sleep. Since people are working long hours shifts and have some mental health issues, I believe that this issue can be resolved with the help of flexible schedule and to some psychological sessions.
The main reason of lack of sleep is the long working hours. Since individuals are working longer hours these days, due to which they are not able to get proper time for sleep. Furthermore, there are people who have some mental health problems, such as stress, anxiety and depression, which are the causes of lack of sleep. For instance, the celebrities are spending most of their time on shooting, and get only 3 to 4 hours of sleeping which are not sufficient. Thus, spending more time on work and having stress are the main reasons of not getting enough sleep.
There are some suggetions which help to resolve this issue. Firstly, people should have to manage their working hours and follow a flexible job schedule, which can help them to get enough time to sleep. Another solution is that the individuals who are suffering from lack of sleep, they should have to get some psychological sessions which can help them to find the cause of lacking of sleep, so that they can get some medical help to resolve this problem. For example, there are some medical prescriptions which are made certainely for those people who are suffering from depression and not sleep well, they should have to follow these prescription and get help in sleeping issue.
In Conclusion, although there are some reasons of lack of sleep including longer working hours and some mental health issues, I believe if the individuals prefer flexible work schedule and get some medical help, they can definetely resolve this difficulty.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, such as long working hours and mental health issues, and the solutions provided, like flexible scheduling and psychological support, are logical. However, the development is somewhat repetitive. For instance, the discussion on 'long working hours' is mentioned in both the introduction and the body paragraph without significant expansion. To reach a higher band, you should aim to explore the consequences of sleep deprivation (e.g., impact on physical health or cognitive performance) in more detail rather than just listing causes.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central topic. Cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'For instance', and 'Firstly' are used to link ideas. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by mechanical phrasing and some awkward transitions. For example, the sentence 'Since individuals are working longer hours these days, due to which they are not able to get proper time for sleep' is grammatically clunky and affects the logical progression. Additionally, the referencing is sometimes repetitive, such as the frequent use of 'there are' to introduce points. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing the message to be conveyed clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'mental health', 'anxiety', and 'depression'. However, the range is somewhat limited, and there are instances of imprecise word choice or unnatural collocations, such as 'get some psychological sessions' (better: 'attend therapy sessions') and 'made certainely' (likely meant 'specifically'). There is also a tendency to repeat basic verbs like 'get' and 'have'. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise academic collocations would help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include incorrect verb forms ('people should have to manage' instead of 'people should manage'), missing articles, and awkward sentence construction, such as 'the individuals who are suffering from lack of sleep, they should have to get...'. While these errors do not prevent understanding, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and reducing redundant phrasing to ensure your complex sentences are constructed more accurately.
