Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt: the problems caused by lack of sleep and potential solutions. The ideas are relevant, covering screen time, diet, and mental well-being. However, the development is somewhat superficial. For example, while you mention that lack of sleep causes health problems, you do not elaborate on the specific consequences (e.g., cognitive decline, weakened immune system). Similarly, the solutions are mentioned but could be more thoroughly explained. To reach a higher band, ensure that each point is fully extended with clear reasoning or specific examples rather than just listing them.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on a specific theme. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'First of all', 'Secondly', and 'To conclude' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical. For instance, the transition between the problem and the solution in the second paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'This can lead to a routine healthy life' in the third paragraph, which lacks a strong link to the preceding sentence. Improving the variety of linking words would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'metabolism', 'technological advancements', and 'mental well-being'. However, there are several spelling errors ('conatins', 'Becasue', 'todays') and minor collocation issues ('involve into physical activity' should be 'engage in physical activity'). While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning clearly, it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Focusing on accurate word forms and more varied collocations will help improve your score in this area.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you successfully use some complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'which conatins digital displays' (subject-verb agreement), 'Because when they are directed towards eyes triggers brain' (missing subject/article), and 'avoiding screens before few hours bedtime' (missing preposition). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are missing commas in complex sentences. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions.
