Most people nowadays complain about not getting enough sleep. This can lead to several health issues such as nausea, amnesia, and even fatigue. Lack of sleep can be treated through systematic approach and excercise. In this essay, I will try to provide explanation on issues that lack of sleep possess and the possible solutions to mitigate it.
To begin with, most of the working population is undergoing this ailment and struggling hard to get over with it. This state of not getting enough sleep is affecting mental and physical wellness of humans. In addition to this, lifestyle choices also contribute to the this state. Furthermore, the pressure of work, family, kids, and other responisibilites are forcing the people to stay focused and push beyond their threshold. Consequently, this continous pressure leads to various medical conditions such as brain haemhorage, dizziness, lack of concentration, fatigue, and so on. This reminds me of my colleague who collapsed in an office meeting. He was not sleeping properly, skipping meals, and working rigorously to meet the deadlines. The whole event was scary and left us with something to think upon. We are putting our wellness at stake to achieve our goals but in vain.
According to the researchers, the sleep deprivation is a condition that can be treated through ammendments in usual preferences, maintaining balanced weight, following proper diet, and impelmenting disciplined workout routines. Yoga and meditation can also play a vital role in relaxing the brain muscles, inducing sleep, and help in improving the sleep cycle.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both parts of the prompt, discussing the problems associated with lack of sleep and proposing actionable solutions. The ideas are relevant and generally well-developed, although some points like citing 'nausea and amnesia' as primary sleep deprivation symptoms are slightly exaggerated or medically imprecise. The introduction clearly outlines the essay's intent, and the position remains clear throughout. However, the development of ideas could be slightly deeper to reach the highest bands, as some explanations lean on generalizations. Overall, the task is answered satisfactorily, earning a solid band score for addressing all prompt requirements with clear supporting examples from personal experience.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized logically with clear paragraphing, moving from an introduction to body paragraphs discussing problems and solutions, and concluding with a summary. Cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'In addition to this', and 'To conclude' are employed to guide the reader through the text, although some transitions feel slightly mechanical. Referencing is mostly clear, though occasional minor slip-ups in referencing nouns slightly disrupt the flow. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct themes like causes/problems versus treatments, ensuring an overall coherent arrangement throughout the response.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, attempting less common items such as 'ailment', 'mitigate', 'threshold', and 'systematic approach'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and collocation errors, such as writing 'excercise' instead of exercise, 'responisibilites', 'continous', and 'ammendments' instead of amendments. Furthermore, phrases like 'getting over with it' are somewhat informal. While these lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors occur, they do not seriously impede communication, allowing the reader to easily follow the intended arguments.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some control over structure with sentences like 'Yoga and meditation can also play a vital role in relaxing the brain muscles, inducing sleep, and help in improving the sleep cycle.' There are, however, several grammatical errors throughout the text, including article omissions and misuse ('contribute to the this state', 'help in improving' instead of helping, and subject-verb agreement issues). Despite these recurring errors in grammar and punctuation, the sentences remain largely understandable, and communication is rarely impeded.
