Student answer (Band 5.5)
Insomnia is the most common disease people on this planet is currently suffering from. In the 21st Century especially after the Internet boom and the arrival of electronics gadget in the palm had made humans spent almost one-third of their day on the phone. Though, I understand there are more reasons to this problem primary reason I believe is the "Stress".
There are several problems this corresponds to in real life. Firstly, an absence of the quality sleep had made humans less productive spend more time on the work. After reading several focus group study, Harvard students found that the ability of people to stay on one task in an entirety has fallen from hours to mere minutes due to presence of social media, messaging , notifications which are mostly categorized as distraction. Secondly, emission of blue light from this devices also is strain to human eyes and affect at physcological level which in turns have difficulty take longer time to recover from the sleep.
People in total sleep the same number of hours may be more than before eventhough feeling they dont got enough sleep which clearly states the problem lies at the digital era with people spending hours on useless unproductive content on social media and other platforms via advertisement.
Last Month, California state department won the legal argument against the Social Media giant Meta who was at the center of channeling this content to the youth. The settelement payout striked at 14 billion which will be paid and used by the schools to educate the childrens by intiating new programs to divert youth minds to real life.
Above all problems about the sleep points to one thing is lack of focus due to modern digital world which people are using one way or other. People have to learn on own and also with the involvement of the Government attention to the serious matter on youth to rechannel their energy toward things that matter.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify possible consequences of poor sleep, especially reduced productivity and difficulty concentrating, and you offer a broad response involving personal effort and government action. However, the answer only partly addresses the prompt: it focuses heavily on digital media and stress, while the effects of sleep loss are not clearly separated from the causes of it. The discussion of eye strain and recovery is difficult to connect directly to lack of sleep, and the proposed school programmes do not explain how they would help people sleep better. Your position is present, but the ideas remain limited and are not consistently supported. Develop a clearer range of direct consequences and practical remedies, explaining how each would address the problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has some paragraphing and uses signposts such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “Above all,” so the reader can identify an attempt to organise the discussion. However, there is no clear overall progression from the problems caused by insufficient sleep to solutions for it. The paragraph beginning “People in total sleep the same number of hours” introduces a confusing point about digital content, and the example about Meta and a settlement interrupts rather than supports the argument. Some links are inaccurate or repetitive, including “Above all problems about the sleep points to one thing.” Organise the essay around the two parts of the question, use each paragraph to develop one main point, and make references between ideas clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “productive,” “distraction,” “emission of blue light,” and “rechannel their energy.” This gives you a basic range for discussing sleep and technology. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or unclear, which sometimes makes the meaning difficult to follow: “the most common disease,” “electronics gadget,” and “the settlement payout striked” are examples. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, such as “physcological,” “settelement,” and “childrens.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, describe insomnia as a “common sleep disorder,” and use “the settlement was set at” rather than “payout striked at.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and subordinate clauses, for example, “Though, I understand there are more reasons to this problem…” and the sentence beginning “After reading several focus group study.” However, these complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction can make the message hard to follow. Examples include “people … is currently suffering,” “had made humans less productive spend more time,” and “which in turns have difficulty take longer time.” Some sentences also lack a clear grammatical connection between clauses. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with controlled clauses. Check subject–verb agreement and ensure each sentence has a complete, logically connected main clause.
