Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: work pressure and late-night use of electronic devices are presented as causes, while reducing stress, meditation and going to bed earlier are suggested as responses. These ideas are relevant, but the discussion is only partly developed. For example, you say that stress makes it hard to sleep, but do not explain the consequences of insufficient sleep for people’s health, concentration or daily performance—the question’s first part asks what problems it causes. The Bill Gates example is also not clearly connected to a practical solution for readers. To strengthen the response, explain specific effects of sleep loss and develop each proposed measure with a clear reason or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph about causes, a paragraph about solutions and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use signposting such as “Another reason,” “Moreover” and “To conclude.” However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes uneven: the causes paragraph moves from work hours to stress and then gadgets without clearly showing how these points relate, and the solutions paragraph includes an example that interrupts the sequence. Some linking phrases are repetitive or awkward, including “As result,” while references such as “it” in “which cause it” are unclear. Group related points more deliberately and use precise links between cause, effect and solution.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “working lifestyle,” “stressed,” “electronic gadgets,” “meditation” and “sleep deeply.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the writing less natural. Examples include “save some many” and “social media scrolling,” while “busy lifestyle impacting sleep” is an awkward way to express the idea. Spelling errors such as “Fisrt,” “enought” and “wakeup” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of expressions for sleep-related effects and solutions, and check spelling and common word combinations. For instance, describe how sleep loss affects concentration or health rather than relying mainly on general terms such as “very less time.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including a reason clause in “because they can make sure they are getting enough sleep” and a relative clause in “which can help to reduce stress.” However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur in basic sentence patterns as well as in more complex attempts. For example, “7 to 8 hour of sleep is” has a number-agreement problem, “people are very busy in there working life” has an incorrect possessive form, and “Some time they do work 12-14 hour” has problems with adverb form and plural agreement. The sentence “as result, they to get very less time” is also structurally incomplete. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, articles, plurals and complete clause patterns before adding complexity.
