Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both parts of the question by identifying consequences of poor sleep and suggesting ways to respond. The effects you mention—feeling lazy during the day and experiencing stress—are relevant, and the suggestions about managing schedules and improving employment opportunities relate to the causes you describe. However, the discussion is only partially developed: the effects are brief, and the unemployment point is repeated without explaining clearly how it leads to sleep loss. The response also focuses more on causes of sleeplessness than on the full range of problems it can cause. Develop each main idea with a clear explanation and a specific example, and make the conclusion state the key effects and solutions more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph discussing causes and effects, a paragraph of solutions, and a conclusion. This makes the main direction easy to follow. You also use linking expressions such as “Consequently,” “For instance,” and “The second solution” to signal relationships between ideas. At times, however, these links feel mechanical or do not express the relationship accurately; for example, “So that they can complete their basic needs” is disconnected from the preceding sentence. The first body paragraph also moves between hectic schedules, unemployment, and their effects without a clear progression. Group each cause with its consequence, and use clearer references and transitions between sentences.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main points, including “hectic schedule,” “unemployment,” “focused,” “energetic,” and “stress.” Some phrases show an attempt to use natural expressions, such as “earn bread and butter,” but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or repetitive, which limits clarity. Examples include “a good sleeps,” “they are not talking enough sleep,” and “job options.” “Lazy” is also less precise than a phrase such as “tired and less alert” for describing the effects of sleep loss. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and vary repeated words such as “sleep” and “job”; this will make your ideas clearer and more appropriate for an essay.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including cause-and-effect clauses and the “not only…but also” construction. However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries sometimes make the meaning difficult to follow. For example, “One of major cause” and “a easy way” show article problems, while “people … they have less time” and “they can reduce their stress and having a good sleep” show agreement or verb-form difficulties. The final sentence, beginning “Although,” is also not formed as a complete, clear contrast. Practise building accurate sentences first, then combine them using subordinate clauses; check articles, singular/plural forms, and consistent verb patterns.
