Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the contemporary era, sleeping problems are faced by individuals due to some reasons such as stress, anxiety and burden regarding studies or work on them. Some of solutions can help people to get enough sleep. In my opinion, sufficient sleep is very essential for everyone to concentrate on work or studies. I will explain causes of lack of sleep and significant solutions in the upcoming paragraphs.
To begin with, the main cause of difficulties getting enough sleep is stress or anxiety. This is because in the modern era, everyone has a hectic schedule and they do not have enough time to take rest. They spend most of their time in work or other activities. For instance, life is so fast and people are busy in making money, even they do not have time for their family and after work, they do not leave their office work at home because of money. So, due to this they do not share anything with their loved ones and face all difficulties themselves. This is called stress or anxiety which leads to lack of sleep. Hence, to be more productive, relax and stress, a sufficient break is crucial to relax the whole body.
Talking about better actions, there are some approaches which are helpful to relax their minds and overall body. Mainly, a break or holiday is extremely beneficial for individuals who always busy in their work. Nowadays, residents think about to be a richest person but enjoyment or fun is also an important to get some time for their own or their family. With this, they can be able to share their problems with their siblings and this could be better for them to decrease their burden. Moreover, people can talk to their friends if they face any problems like children, they face problems in studies and they feel scared during their exams. But people can get help from their siblings which is much better for them to solve their concerns. Therefore, these solutions can be vital for people because due those reasons they face difficulty in sleeping and these remedies make their sleep better.
In conclusion, people are dealing with sleep because of anxiety or stress on them but I beleive that there are some actions can be used to solve this problem like people should spend their holiday with family and should enjoy their life and also if any difficulty they have, so they can share it with family or friends to reduce their burden which would be helpful to get good sleep.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by identifying stress and anxiety as causes and suggesting holidays, rest, and talking with family or friends. Your position that sufficient sleep matters for concentration is clear, and the examples about work pressure and exam worries are relevant. However, the task asks specifically what problems lack of sleep can cause, and this part is largely missing: you mention reduced productivity only briefly, without explaining effects such as poor concentration, mood changes, or health risks. The proposed solutions are also somewhat general, and some points about sharing problems are repeated rather than developed. To strengthen the response, explain several consequences directly and show how each practical measure could improve sleep.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs on causes and solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the main stages. However, the progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to track. For example, the first body paragraph moves from work pressure to family communication and then to productivity without clearly separating these points. In the solutions paragraph, the discussion shifts from holidays to siblings and children’s exam worries, so the links between examples and the central question are not always clear. Some connectors, including “Therefore” and “With this,” feel mechanical or do not precisely express the relationship. Group related ideas and use clearer references to improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “stress,” “anxiety,” “hectic schedule,” “burden,” and “concentrate.” There are also attempts at less common phrasing, such as “significant solutions” and “overall body.” However, the range is limited by repeated words and phrases, especially “people,” “problems,” “better,” and “sleep,” and several collocations or word forms are inaccurate. For example, “relax and stress” does not express the intended meaning, while “a richest person” and “an important” are not natural forms in context. These choices sometimes make the message less clear. Build a more precise range for consequences and remedies, and check whether words combine naturally before using them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including explanations with “because” and examples introduced by “For instance.” This gives the response some structural variety, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors recur across the essay. Examples include “there are some actions can be used,” which needs a relative clause or a different structure, and “people who always busy,” which is missing a verb. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction in phrases such as “enjoyment or fun is also an important” and “if any difficulty they have.” These errors can make relationships between ideas harder to understand. Practise building accurate clauses first, then combine them, paying particular attention to complete verb phrases and article use.
