Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question by identifying possible causes of poor sleep and suggesting ways to respond. The discussion of social-media use is relevant, and the example of a teenager being unable to concentrate the next day shows one consequence. However, the task asks specifically what problems lack of sleep can cause, and this part is only briefly covered: concentration difficulties are mentioned, while the other health effects listed are linked to a sedentary lifestyle rather than clearly to sleep loss. The proposed solutions—finding the cause, support from family, and a sleep schedule—are relevant but need fuller explanation. Develop the consequences and explain how each measure could improve sleep.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” help readers follow the main stages, and the central topic remains clear. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some flexibility in linking ideas. However, connections within paragraphs are occasionally unclear: the discussion moves from social-media use to a sedentary lifestyle without explaining their relationship, and the health effects listed do not clearly support the point about sleep. Some transitions, including “To eradicate this situation,” feel formulaic. Use clearer links between cause, consequence, and solution, and make references such as “this” more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “sedentary lifestyle,” “proactive solutions,” “concentrate,” and “sleep cycle,” which helps communicate the subject. There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “mitigate the issue” and “grassroot level.” However, the range is not consistently controlled: several word choices or collocations are unnatural, including “overly use of social media,” “addicted with internet,” and “tones of app.” Spelling errors such as “insomia,” “Scruitinising,” and “interent” are noticeable and sometimes make reading less smooth. Aim for accurate, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; precise everyday vocabulary is more effective than ambitious wording used inaccurately.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional example beginning “For instance” and a sentence linking lifestyle to health effects. However, control is inconsistent, and errors occur across the response. Examples include subject–verb agreement in “sleep problems … is,” article and number errors in “a well educated college students,” and the faulty verb pattern “will leads.” Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, as in “In this modern era, everyone is basically addicted with internet; that could be substantial reason.” These problems sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Practise accurate agreement, articles, and verb forms first, then build longer sentences from clauses you can control.
