Lack of sufficient sleep is a global issue that many individuals have in this era. Less productivity and physical and mental disturbance are the two main adverse effects of insomnia, and to address this problem people should be encouraged to live a balanced life.
The major problem associated with insufficient sleep is unhealthy mind and body. Sleeping for only 2-3 hours at night can cause tiredness, body aches and memory problems. a stressful mind. For example, research has shown that all the body functions suffer from lack of sleep as they are unable to work properly if people have insomnia. Another problem caused by lack of sleep is less productivity at workplace because brain cannot concentrate fully on tasks. Therefore, difficulty getting enough sleep can cause incomplete task, more mistakes and ineffectiveness at work.
The solution to this problem is motivating people to have less stressful life by reducing their work load and doing exercise daily. If people would have work-life balance then they would have sufficient time to relax and sleep. For instance, those people who work out daily in the evening are less prone to insomnia. Therefore, reducing the work and stress in life can lead to a better sleep.
In conclusion, although insufficient sleep has detrimental effects on individual's life, keeping work-life balance is a solution to address this problem.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question and establish a clear overall position: insufficient sleep harms health and workplace performance, while a more balanced life is presented as a solution. The examples of tiredness, body aches, memory problems and mistakes at work are relevant. However, the effects are not developed equally: the health point is listed rather than explained, and the claim that evening exercise makes people less prone to insomnia needs clearer support. The proposed solution also focuses mainly on workload and exercise, with little explanation of how these measures would help people with other causes of sleep difficulty. The response is 28 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop these ideas. Add explanation and a specific example for each part of the task.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on problems, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. This makes the main progression easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “For example,” “Therefore” and “In conclusion” help signal relationships between ideas. The organisation is generally coherent, but some connections feel mechanical because “Therefore” is repeated, and the health paragraph contains the fragment “a stressful mind,” which interrupts the flow. The conclusion also repeats the main claim without adding a final implication. To strengthen progression, group related effects into a developed explanation, use referencing such as “these symptoms,” and vary transitions so that links arise naturally from the ideas.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic vocabulary, including “insomnia,” “adverse effects,” “productivity,” “work-life balance” and “detrimental effects.” These choices make the subject clear and show some willingness to use less common language. However, several expressions are imprecise or awkward, such as “unhealthy mind and body,” “less stressful life,” “less productivity” and “incomplete task.” “Research has shown” is also a broad claim without a specific finding. Aim for more natural collocations and precise forms, for example, describing impaired physical and mental health or reduced productivity. Check word forms and plural choices as well: “tasks” is needed in the workplace sentence. More precise vocabulary would make the argument sound more fluent and convincing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional sentence (“If people would have work-life balance…”) and a relative clause (“those people who work out daily…”). Most meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors are noticeable. The conditional should be “If people had a better work-life balance, they would…,” and “because brain cannot concentrate” needs an article: “because the brain cannot concentrate.” There is also a sentence fragment in “Sleeping for only 2-3 hours at night can cause tiredness, body aches and memory problems. a stressful mind.” In addition, “can cause incomplete task” needs a plural or determiner, and the conclusion needs a space after the comma. Review conditional patterns, articles, sentence boundaries and punctuation while retaining your range of structures.
