To commence with, the problems that affect our sleep cycle. The predominant one is work pressure. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question by identifying work pressure and late-night phone use as causes of poor sleep, then suggesting timetables, exercise and time with family. The examples of online work and food delivery help illustrate pressure, but the response focuses more on causes than on the problems lack of sleep can cause. The effects are only briefly implied through reduced family time and worries; explain direct consequences such as tiredness, poor concentration, or health risks. Your proposed solutions are relevant, although the link between family activities and improved sleep needs clearer explanation. The opening also shifts to health problems among youngsters, while the discussion concerns people more generally. Develop the effects and connect each solution explicitly to the sleep problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion, so the reader can identify its broad structure. Sequencing words such as “To commence with,” “Secondly,” and “Firstly” signal stages in the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow: the explanation moves from technology to online shopping, job opportunities, and Zomato without clearly showing how each point relates to insufficient sleep. Some linking phrases are mechanical or do not express the intended relationship, as in “As a result, spending time with family…” The conclusion repeats the timetable idea rather than drawing together the main effects and remedies. Organise each paragraph around one clear point, then use explicit cause-and-effect links and clearer references to connect supporting examples.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “work pressure,” “sleep cycle,” “timetable,” “productivity,” and “time off from work.” These choices make the general subject clear. However, the range is limited and several phrases are repeated, particularly “work,” “pressure,” and “sleep cycle.” Some word combinations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “complete their sleep,” “work related issues arise,” and “forgot about worries.” There are also word-form and spelling problems, including “with in” and “tis,” which reduce accuracy and can make the reader pause. Aim for more precise expressions for sleep-related effects and solutions, and check collocations and spelling. For example, describe workers as facing “tight delivery deadlines” rather than saying the app “put pressure” on them.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including cause-and-effect structures with “because,” “as a result,” and “that will help.” However, complex sentences are often difficult to control, and frequent errors affect clarity. For example, “Health problems is” has subject–verb disagreement, while “this app provide” and “every person work” also need agreement. Sentence boundaries are sometimes faulty: “In my perspective, work overload is a major reason for this, there are also some steps…” joins two independent clauses with a comma. Articles, pronouns, and verb forms are also inconsistent, as in “know about there family.” Use shorter, complete sentences when explaining examples, then check agreement, tense, and punctuation before adding subordinate clauses.
