Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question by identifying long working hours and late-night phone use as causes, then suggesting higher-paid work, shared family employment and avoiding phones at night. The response is relevant, but the problems caused by insufficient sleep are only briefly described: dark circles and unspecified “health issues” are mentioned without explaining their effects or giving an example. Some proposed solutions also need clearer reasoning; for instance, finding a higher-wage job may not be realistic or directly explain how working hours would fall. Develop each main point with a specific consequence or example, and explain how each solution would work. This would make the response more complete and its ideas better supported.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, separate paragraphs for causes and solutions, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with,” “Additionally,” and “Furthermore” help readers follow the main points, and each paragraph has a recognisable focus. This already provides a coherent progression. However, some linking is mechanical, and connections between claims are not always fully explained. For example, the move from family responsibilities to overtime and then insufficient sleep is understandable but could be developed more smoothly. The final paragraph begins “In concluse” and repeats the general claim rather than drawing together the specific causes and remedies. Use transitions more selectively and make the relationship between each idea explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “overtime,” “mobile addiction,” “mitigate,” and “health issues,” and the main meaning is generally recoverable. However, noticeable spelling and word-choice problems reduce precision, as in “difficuities,” “resposibilities,” “eminities,” and “alck.” Several phrases are also unnatural or unclear: “the most primary reason,” “a enough sleep,” and “normal expences.” “Plethora of factors can be added to address this essay” does not express the intended idea naturally. Aim for accurate, conventional collocations rather than inserting formal-sounding words, and proofread spelling. More precise vocabulary for consequences, such as reduced concentration or impaired health, would also help develop the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some complex forms, including a reason clause (“why humans have lack of sleep”) and a result structure (“As a result, they do not have…”), alongside shorter sentences. However, attempts at longer constructions are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the response difficult to read. Examples include “some of are think,” “people have lack of sleep,” and “their health also will be in a great condition.” Articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries also need attention: “take a enough sleep” is incorrect, and “because” begins a sentence after a full stop without a complete, well-integrated structure. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
